Famous for: Excessive bloodshed, a world gone mad, “Double, double toil and trouble” and other witchy chants.

Macbeth‘s plot is all about power. That’s because in Macbeth, the central characters are either lusting for power, questing after power, or defending their power. So how does the power struggle shake out? Let’s just say that Shakespeare didn’t call Macbeth a tragedy for nothing.
