The camping trip was supposed to be perfect, but Jack’s mom is unpredictable. So when he wakes up in the middle of Acadia National Park to find the car—and his mother—gone, Jack knows what he must do. He has to keep his family together, even if it means making the trek from Maine back to his home in Boston all by himself.
Jack’s story is a harrowing one, both physically and emotionally. But along the way he gains strength from the kindness of strangers—and from within—and discovers that he may not be completely alone after all.
