Shift begins in the middle of a mystery: Who is Win and why and how did he disappear? It’s the question readers find themselves asking, and it’s the question that protagonist Christopher Collins is asking himself, too. Especially since Win was his former best friend. And cross-country bike trip buddy. And the guy who disappeared into thin air. Or did he? That’s what Chris sets out to discover in Shift, a story that’s as much about the mysteries of friendship as it is about the mystery of Win and his aborted odyssey. Only one word of warning about this novel: Don’t start reading unless you’ve got a few hours on your hands. This is one book you won’t want to put down.
