Teenager Marie-Claire is not a happy camper. And can you blame her? All she wants is to be normal—to have a boyfriend, and maybe the opportunity for a little teenage rebellion. Instead, she’s stuck in a tuberculosis sanatorium, where she must “chase the cure” with the other invalids. With no privacy, painful treatments, and days of unending boredom, it seems like Marie-Claire doesn’t have much to hope for. Little does she know that in the same place where she finds heartache and loss, she’ll also discover her first true love.
