In this sci-fi fable about figuring out how to belong, teenage narrator Mal is an outcast whose rough life makes him feel like an alien. Except, Mal isn’t an alien—this he knows for sure because he’s been abducted by them, probed, and returned to earth three days later.
Mal finds some solace in a group for other abductees, until he meets Hooper—a guy who doesn’t claim to be an abductee, but an actual alien who’s been stranded on the wrong planet. Will Hooper deliver Mal from his earthborn troubles? Or will Mal find out that maybe he has more in common with his fellow earthlings than he thought?
