Genre: Nonfiction/Graphic novel (YA) Jenny’s rating (out of 5 stars): 4.5 You’ll like this book if: You like history, physics, quirky real-life personalities, or some combination of all three! You won’t like this book if: You don’t like books that introduce complicated concepts but don’t fully explain them.
You might not think that a 200+ page biography of a physicist could be described as a “romp,” but when the physicist is the exuberant Richard Feynman, even physics takes on new life. Besides, Feynman didn’t exactly spend his career holed up in a lab. He traveled. He cracked safes. He helped build the first atomic bomb and won a Nobel Prize for his work on Quantum Electrodynamics.
If that physics-speak sounds intimidating, be forewarned that this book can be a bit confusing in parts for the non-physicists among us. Still, you won’t want to miss this amazing graphic novel about a man who saw the world in amazing and brilliant ways.
