Dash loathes Christmas. Even after he finds the red moleskin notebook (tucked in a clever hiding place at his favorite New York City bookstore—The Strand), he still hates Christmas. But Christmas surprises? OK, maybe the notebook makes him a little more game for those. Lily loves Christmas. But this Christmas is turning out to be the worst in Lily’s memory. More pressingly: Can the red moleskin notebook bring these two quirky, Manhattan teens together—maybe even make them fall in love? Let’s just say that this Christmas (and this notebook) hold more than a few surprises.
