The Code of the Woosters
Author: P. G. Wodehouse
Year: 1938
Bertie Wooster has a way of getting himself into trouble. Or rather, he has a way of letting other people get him into trouble, starting with his insufferable aunt. See, his aunt wants a particular cow creamer (a creamer shaped like a cow) that has value and importance of a rather epic nature. But when her sworn enemy gets his hands on the creamer first, she dispatches Bertie to retrieve the cow by whatever means necessary … OR ELSE. The Code of the Woosters wouldn’t win any awards for depth or meaning, but as extremely well-plotted comedies go, this is a fast-paced, entertaining read that’s well worth checking out
Genre: Fiction (Adult) Jenny’s rating (out of 5 stars): 3.5 You’ll like this book if: You love coincidences, ridiculous plot twists, and 1930s hilarity. You won’t like this book if: Fluffy, nonsense stories don’t appeal to you (even if they have a good plot).
