What happens when you drop a bunch of teenage beauty queens on a deserted tropical island? You get Lord of the Flies meets the Miss Teen USA pageant, of course! If the premise to this week’s Pick sounds a bit far-fetched, well, it is. But the clash of beauty pageant culture with a Survivor type setting is fodder for plenty of hilarity—not to mention some interesting observations. All of which combine for a story that’s sure to please beauty queens, and feminists, alike.
